Privacy policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
The short version. LoudNow checks your notifications on your phone. It has no accounts and no server of ours to send anything to, so it cannot send your notifications, phrases or contacts to us or anyone else. It keeps only the alerts it raised, for 7 days.
Who we are
LoudNow is made by Investwise BV, Willem Molenbroekplein 35, 3071 MK Rotterdam, Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK number 91134153. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@loudnow.app.
The LoudNow app
What the app reads
To work, LoudNow needs Android’s notification access, which you switch on yourself. With it, the app reads the title and text of notifications as they arrive and checks them against the phrases you chose. This check happens entirely on your phone.
What the app keeps, and for how long
- Alerts it raised. When a notification matches one of your phrases, LoudNow saves that alert for “What did I miss?”: the app it came from, the sender’s name, the text, the time and the phrase that matched. These are deleted automatically after 7 days. You can delete them sooner in Settings → Privacy → Clear alert history.
- Everything else is not kept. A notification that does not match is checked and forgotten. It is never stored.
- Your settings. Your phrases, your senders and your preferences are stored on your phone so the app can do its job.
Contacts
LoudNow cannot read your contact list. When you add a sender by picking a contact, Android shares only that one contact’s name and phone number, which the app saves as a sender on your phone.
No servers, no tracking
The app contains no code for sending data over a network — no HTTP client of any kind — so your notifications, phrases and senders cannot leave your phone, and we never see them. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking in the app. The installed app does list Android’s internet permission, because Google Play’s billing library adds it automatically; it is used only for Play’s own check of whether you have Pro, and it carries nothing about your notifications.
No backups
LoudNow’s data is excluded from Android and Google cloud backups and from phone-to-phone transfers. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
Permissions and why the app needs them
- Notification access: to read incoming notifications and check them for your phrases.
- Show notifications: to show the alert, the daily “still watching” check-in and warnings if something stops working.
- Run in the background and start after a restart: so LoudNow keeps watching when the app is closed or the phone reboots.
- Ignore battery optimisation (you are asked first): so Android does not stop LoudNow in the background.
- Vibration and the camera flash: to vibrate and blink the flashlight during an alert. The app cannot take photos.
- Check network status and keep the phone awake briefly: these come with Android’s scheduling system, which LoudNow uses to confirm every 15 minutes that it can still hear your notifications. They do not let the app send data.
Purchases
Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card details. Google shares limited order information with us, such as the order number, product, date and country, so we can confirm purchases and handle refunds.
Webhook relays
Webhook relays are not built yet. Today nothing is relayed anywhere, and the app contains no way to send a notification off the phone. If they are ever added, this policy will be updated before they ship: they would be off until you set one up, and an alert would go only to the address you entered.
This website
- No cookies, analytics or tracking.
- Nothing is loaded from other companies. The fonts and the Google Play badge are served from this site itself, so opening it tells Google nothing.
- The help chat runs in your browser, and its answers are built in. When it cannot answer a question, it removes personal details such as email addresses and phone numbers and keeps the question in your own browser’s storage, so we can improve it later. It is not sent to us.
- Hosting. The company that hosts this website may keep standard server logs (IP address, time and page requested) for security, for a limited time.
When you email us
If you email support@loudnow.app, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We delete support emails within 12 months after the conversation ends.
Legal basis
The data in the app stays on your phone and never reaches us, so we do not process it. We process support emails because you asked us to reply (our legitimate interest in helping you), and purchase information to fulfil the purchase you made (contract).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can object to how we use it. Email support@loudnow.app. For the app’s data you are always in control on your phone: clear the alert history, delete senders or uninstall the app. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children
LoudNow is not directed at children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how the app handles your data, we will also tell you in the app.
